CONEC offers new components for quick locking and unlocking without additional tools
If you want to assemble without tools, the new D-SUB connectors and D-SUB hoods from CONEC are a good choice. Our long-standing manufacturing partner CONEC not only stands for the highest quality, but has also developed a very reliable system for quick locking and unlocking without additional tools. You install and immediately hear and feel a “click” - and the locking mechanism is in place. This also works perfectly on device interfaces that are not easily visible. It is also possible to retrofit existing systems with the new CONEC components.
Secure system with spring clip and locking bolt
The new CONEC SnapLock locking system consists of two parts: the D-SUB connectors and the matching D-SUB hoods. A high-quality spring clip is integrated into each of the covers. When the component is fitted, the clip locks into place with a locking pin located on the mating connector. This ensures a quick and secure connection.
Would you like to install the new CONEC components in challenging environments? This is also possible, as they are characterized by a very high holding force and are therefore suitable for numerous areas of application.
Various versions of the new D-SUB hoods and connectors
You can order the plastic hoods from CONEC in sizes 1 - 5 and choose between a metallized and a black version. The manufacturer uses a flame-retardant material in accordance with UL 94 V0 to ensure that it functions reliably. There are also different models of D-SUB connectors (9-50-pin). They each have an integrated locking pin.
Simple retrofitting is possible
As mentioned, CONEC has also thought about the important retrofitting of existing systems. A special retrofit kit is available that you can use for existing D-SUB systems - with a UNC 4-40 threaded insert. The retrofit kit consists of two locking bolts with matching washers.
