Special SAMWHA E-Caps for OBC & DC EV chargers
SAMWHA is responding to the constantly growing market for electric vehicles with the latest components. The innovative E-Cap series has been specially developed for OBC and EV chargers. The manufacturer has taken two important areas into account:
- The onboard charger (OBC) is a system in electric vehicles that charges the high-voltage main battery from the AC grid while it is parked.
- In DC-EV chargers, the converter is located in the charger itself. This means that it can feed the current directly into the vehicle battery and does not need the onboard charger to convert it. DC-EV chargers and OBCs require special types of capacitors to ensure reliable and efficient operation.
