As the world's leading trade fair for lighting and building technology, Light + Building is literally casting its shadow ahead. In 2022, there will once again be a presence trade fair in Frankfurt am Main (provided the Corona measures make it possible).
Combination of on-site industry meeting and digital trade show
Hybrid trade fairs that combine digital events with face-to-face meetings on site are clearly in vogue. Thus, Light + Building has also planned a suitable event variant for 2022.
The specially developed, new digital platform "Light + Building Digital Extension" will open parallel to the event in Frankfurt and will then even remain available for a week longer. Visitors who want to use the trade show online will thus have the opportunity to do so until March 25, 2022.

- Green Deal & Sustainability:
This is about systems that can sustainably increase the energy efficiency of buildings and cities. Excellent use of space, the targeted collection and evaluation of data, and resource cycles that are as closed as possible are all part of this. Also in focus: ecological as well as recycled building materials, the integration of regenerative energies and building technology that increasingly works with automation systems.
- Electrification & Digitization:
When buildings are planned efficiently from the outset, when energy use is optimized and comfort nevertheless remains the focus of consideration, extraordinary building concepts are created. Light + Building is dedicated to this topic and combines it with interoperable systems, the exciting field of AI and aspects such as building security, predictive maintenance and resource conservation.
- Light & Design:
What would Light + Building be without the topic of light and lighting? This trade show focus is dedicated to sub-aspects such as quality and design as cornerstones of space and building design. Sustainability is just as much forgotten, for example through the use of natural materials and colors, as the influence of lighting on well-being, performance and safety. Brand-new in times of Corona: In the UVC sector, disinfection of air and surfaces is also possible through modern systems.
